Since my last post i realized the importance of changing things up. Today before I embarked on my saturday 12-13 mile run, i realized I was getting a little tired of all of the music on my trusty ipod. All i had to do was add 5 new songs into the mix, and I had the best run I had in a very long time.
Moral of the story? just because you have a good routine, doesn't mean itll be good for long. A week ago i decided to sit down and actually put into an excel spread sheet a training sequence of my own. Despite the fact that I have one in my head that I have been following for a while, I decided to put it onto paper. the fact that i have someone "telling me" what i shoudl be doing ( ie.. myself, on a piece of paper) gives me a little more direction.
All in all I am feeling pretty good, and I think my regular season races should go pretty well, as long as i dont run into any major clitches ( ie injury) my runs and swims are pretty consistent. my cycling game is a little harder to get a read on since Chicago's weather is being recalcitrant and dumping snow on us every other day leaving me inside with my trainer. Though it warmed up the other day (like 45) so i went out for a ride and I felt really good. So i think I am on track.. or something.
Anyway. Ill have a facebook group soon to start getting the word out aboutfundraising, so, until then!
