OMG OMG thats all i can say. less than 3 weeks to go and I am freeeaking out. How did i get myself into this!?!? oooh man. I am hoping that this is just an artifact of me being so close to race day.
All in all i am feeling good. I have been having solid training sessions and i am even starting to taper now that i am three weeks away. And by taper i mean todays bike ride was only 4 hours and 30 minutes. followed by a half hour run. trust me, thats not so bad..
but really, starting this week things shold start to tone themselves down. my main concerns at this point are logisitic. Wha should i WEAR?!?! i mean, i usually race in a tri suit, but that really doesnt seem like it going to be comfortable on 112 miles of biking.. i am thinking i will throw a pair of cycling shorts on over the tri suit.
I do think however that i will run in my tri suit only. This is what i have done up until now, and it seems to be working pretty well. i just need to make sure that I manage to put enough food on my person to last me the whole time.
Basically, i am excited and nervous and am starting to have those flash forward day dreaks where i cross the finish line and throw my hands up in the air in victory. in realty, i am never quite w"with it" enough to do anything particularly photogenic, or even celebratory, and i get the feeling the the Ironman wont be an exception. At the very least, i wil try to smile for the camera.
